Hyderabad- In a recent official announcement, it was stated that the Hyderabad Metro Rail authorities have made up their mind to not start the metro construction along the stretch of Sultan Bazaar and Badi Chowdi on the Corridor-II route until all the uprooted traders are given a suitable alternative site for their business.
It was stated by Hyderabad Metro Rail managing director N.V.S. Reddy, that they will not begin the work at Sultan Bazaar until the traders are provided with an alternative and that they have promised to give them a five-storey shopping complex located at Putlibowli which can shelter all the traders who are at a risk of loosing their shops during the road widening at Sultan Bazaar.
However, another complex will also be coming up at Chikkadpally to shelter the Chikkadpally and Musheerabad traders. Most traders have handed over their space while many others are in the process of negotiation. The metro process has also caused in breaking the ties between the ndia Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) and the Congress.
